Description - The expressive sculptural types of Eero Saarinen's furniture can likewise be found in his construction modeling, from the TWA Terminal at Kennedy Airport to the Gateway Arch in St. Louis to Dulles International Airport. In 1940, the  Finnish American and his companion Charles Eames took first prize at the Organic  Design in Home Furnishings rivalry at Moma. Later that decade, when Florence  Knoll tested Saarinen to make a seat that she could twist up in, she had  discovered the privilege contender for the errand. The Womb Chair and Ottoman  (1946) has a wrapping structure that keeps on being a standout amongst the most  notable and perceived representations of mid-century natural innovation. By  applying froth formed over a fiberglass shell, Saarinen made a solitary piece  structure that impeccably encourages a loose sitting carriage. Fabricated by  Knoll as indicated by the first details of the planner.

The names Saarinen only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trademark. We have no affiliation with Knoll.
